Columbus 4 vs. Anaheim 3 (SO)
Feb. 11, 2016
Nationwide Arena
26-19-8, 60 Standings Points

Ryan Garbutt

On his goal
I just got in on the forecheck and the puck bounced around the boards, off my shin pad and onto my stick. I just wheeled around the net and tried to put it on net as hard as I could.

On his comfort level with the Ducks
We had some guys step up today, especially [Chris] Stewart with the fight. He was out for the third period, so I was able to get some extra shifts. It’s always great when you get that opportunity from the coaches. You have to take advantage of it.

On Andersen’s performance
He was great. He’s been great since I’ve been here. We have two unbelievable goaltenders. They’re going to be crucial for us going forward.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau

On the game
The biggest takeaway is the point. We got it, but we didn’t play very good. Now we’re going to against four Western Conference teams. It’s going to be pretty tough.

On the challenges tonight

I didn’t think we respected that team enough to start the game. This is the NHL. You can’t come into a game and not respect your opponent. We didn’t respect them enough. We were lucky Freddie [Andersen] was on top of his game in the first period, or it would’ve been 3-1 for them. We were lucky to get a point, but we’ll bounce back.

On Andersen’s performance
He made the big saves. We can’t expect him to stop them all. It’s a tough go, but Freddie did what he was supposed to do. He played great.

On Garbutt’s performance

I thought he played well. He was one of our better forwards tonight.
