Hampus Lindholm
On the lack of scoring
It’s frustrating. You feel like you have so many chances but nothing connects and nothing goes in the net. We just have to keep working and playing simple. Hopefully we’ll get those goals, but right now it’s frustrating. We have to look at the positives. It’s frustrating when nothing goes the way you want.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau
On the effort
We pushed in the third period, but that’s the way we should’ve been playing to start the game. We need our best players to be our best players on a consistent basis. That’s not happening right now.

On not taking advantage of power plays
We had the shots and territorial [advantage], but if there was a one-on-one battle, they were coming away with the puck. We had an opportunity at the beginning of the second period and third period on the power play, and we didn’t gain any momentum from it. Those things are going to cost you.

On where to go from here

You keep going. That’s the only thing you can do. We switched lines around a little bit, but hopefully you get a goal that triggers something. We thought we got a good game from Jiri Sekac tonight, for his first game. That’s promising. We’ll hopefully build on it in the next game.
