Jakob Silfverberg On the game We played all right. Not our best game, but we got the win. That’s what is most important. We have one more game before the playoffs. We have to make sure it’s a good one.
On the importance of winning the Pacific Division We want to win these games so we can get the first spot in the division. We got the win. It’s a big game tomorrow.
Ryan Garbutt On the game It was a big game for us. We want to put the pressure on LA going into their game tonight. These were two big points for us.
On playing with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry I just try not to change my game. I try to stay physical and give them the puck. They’re skilled players.
On the Avalanche They came out and played hard. It was a good test for us to get some practice on the PK [penalty kill]. We showed up and played really well.
On the importance of entering the postseason on a high note We want to win, for sure. Playing the last game of the year, you want to go in on a roll. It’s going to be a fun one for us.
Head Coach Bruce Boudreau On putting pressure on the Kings We wanted to make sure they’re playing as hard as they can. Who knows what can happen. I thought we did a good job. We had a 20-second blip in the second period, but when you take seven penalties, teams are usually going to score a goal. Gibson was solid, and we got contributions from a lot of people.
On Jakob Silfverberg scoring 20 goals on the season No one would’ve expected him to get 20 goals after 40 games. He’s playing good. Everything he’s touching is going into the net. Hopefully it doesn’t change anytime soon.
