Corey Perry added 1-1=2 points for his second straight multi-point performance (also Feb. 27 vs. LAK: 2-0=2). He leads the team and shares ninth in the NHL with 27 goals this season.
Ryan Getzlaf On the game The one thing we are is comfortable in one-goal games. They came on strong. I have to give them credit. They came out really hard in the second period. I don’t think we handled it the way we wanted to, but we got the job done.
On the difference between this season’s roster and last season’s roster We have a little bit more depth now. The playoffs are experience, and you can’t get that unless you’re there. We had a lot of young guys who got great experience over the last couple of years. This year, we feel ready.
On the addition of Ryan Kesler and Nate Thompson Kesler and Thompson have come on strong. Thompson is doing a great job on our penalty kill, and taking some pressure and minutes off of me. Kes has been an all-around player for us. Those are big things when you’re talking about our lineup.
