Kevin Bieksa On the game We were excited for this game. The guys knew this was a big game for [Ryan Kesler] and I. We played good. We were in control. We let them back with a power-play goal, but the [penalty kill] has done a really good job this year. We stayed strong.
On his empty-net goal It’s nice to get the one that kind of ends the game. It’s a good feeling. It’s good we finished the road trip the right way.
On the team’s defense contributing offensively Our forwards are so good and patient with the puck, if we pick our spots, we’ll get our chances. Tonight we made them pay.
Rickard Rakell On closing out the road trip with a victory We just stuck with our game plan throughout the entire road trip. We’ve been scoring a lot of goals, scoring on the power play and playing good PK. This road trip was just what we needed. On finishing with a 5-1-1 record on the road trip We’re just taking it day by day. It was a good trip for us, but it’ll be nice to go home.
