Ryan Getzlaf
On success against the Kings

You never want a team to think they can beat you, and this year we’ve been able to handle them. We’ve had years in the past where it was tough to beat them. It’s good to have that last win against them going into the playoffs, in case we have to face them.

On clinching the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference
Anytime you have an opportunity to close someone out and solidify your spot, that’s what you want to do. Our team showed that tonight, that we were able to go out and grasp that opportunity. That’s good vial and mental help for us.

Devante Smith-Pelly
On clinching the top spot in the West

It’s good. That’s one of the goals the team had the start of the year, but it’s not the biggest one. It’s a feather in our cap.

On his game tonight
It’s not about personal statistics. I’m just trying to come in and help out, whether that’s on the scoresheet or not. It’s always nice to contribute.

On his call-up
It’s just about me focusing on what I can do to help the team. It’s unfortunate that I had to due to someone getting hurt, but I’m just trying to keep myself ready.

On the shootout
It was a little bit of a surprise. As soon as I saw Rakell go out, I knew there was a chance. I’ve never had a shootout before. I’d be 15th or 16th on the list.

Stephane Robidas
On clinching the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference
The main goal hasn’t been achieved yet. We’ve achieved two big goals that we wanted to accomplish this year. Now we’re going for the big one. That’s when the fun is going to begin. For me, it’s going to be great because it’s been five years since I’ve been in the playoffs.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau
On clinching the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference

They all knew they just needed a point. We never talked about it, but you could tell after the game was over, they all knew. Some of them were high-fiving each other. That’s a pretty big accomplishment for them. Then, we said let’s go win it in a shootout.

On Frederik Andersen’s performance
He’s always bounced back. He just bears down when he needs to be, and the shootout was an example. He did a great job. After having the time off that he did, it was important that he come in and play a real good game.

On knowing their opponent [Dallas]
We get to game plan a day earlier. We know we have a real worthy opponent. They’ve beaten us twice out of the three times this year, and they’ll be ready to play. They’ve got a lot of young guys that are just excited to be there. I’ve been in that situation. They’re a tough team to beat.

Anze Kopitar
On the intensity level

I think the last couple of games, definitely, our intensity was there, our effort was there and that was obviously our preparation for the playoffs . Tonight, the building was loud too, which was really nice to see and we are going to need that going forward. Now we have a couple of days off to try to recharge and get ready for whenever we are going to start.

On the aggressive play
The penalties we normally took are most likely coming from maybe not moving our feet and being a little tired on the ice and we just have to make sure that does not happen.

Dustin Brown
On the upcoming games

We have a day off tomorrow and I think getting back into the rink and we will start to really think about it. It is kind of like one of those games that went by quick but also went by slow at the same time.

Head coach Darryl Sutter
On the Jennings Award

I think one of our little goals coming into the season was to get better in that area.

On Anze Kopitar
He had a really good regular season, he’s played the last little bit like he’s getting ready for the next step.

On the playoffs
It could be Wednesday or Thursday. I told the guys as soon as we know, they’ll know, but a lot of the time we just see it on TV.
