Corey Perry will miss approximately five months after undergoing surgery to repair the meniscus and MCL (medial collateral ligament) in his right knee, Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Murray said today. The 33-year-old right wing suffered the injury during warmups prior to a game against the Arizona Coyotes at Honda Center on Monday.

Perry posted 49 points (17g/32a) in 71 games last season, his 13th NHL season with Anaheim. He earned his 400th career NHL assist in the regular-season finale on April 7, 2018 at Arizona, and joined Teemu Selanne (182) and Paul Kariya (107) as the three players in franchise history to reach 100 power-play goals, Feb. 3, 2018 at Montreal.
