Perry Has a Goal in 5-1 Canada Victory over Italy

Ducks winger Corey Perry scored a goal to help Team Canada to a 5-1 victory over Italy in their opening game of the IIHF World Championship at the SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany.


Perry scored just 2:43 into the game, stuffing in a rebound after a Steven Stamkos wraparound try.

Matt Duchene and Steve Stamkos had a goal and an assist each while Ray Whitney, who celebrated his 38th birthday today, also had two assists.

Canada next plays on Monday night against Latvia.
