The Ducks have little time to dwell on last night’s 3-1 loss in Dallas. After seeing their four-game winning streak come to an end, the Ducks will look to get back in the win column tonight against the St. Louis Blues in the second of back-to-backs.

After landing in St. Louis at 1:30 this morning, the Ducks will not have a morning skate.

It is not yet known who tonight’s starting netminder will be after Jonas Hiller left yesterday’s game due to a lower-body injury. Hiller was removed primarily for precautionary reasons. Viktor Fasth manned the crease for second and third periods, stopping 11 of 12 shots.

Ben Lovejoy
made his Ducks debut last night in Dallas. The 6-2, 215-pound defenseman led all Ducks skaters in shots-on-goal (4) and co-led the team in blocked shots (3) in 16:20 time-on-ice. The mobile blueliner was paired primarily with Bryan Allen during the game.

Tonight marks the first of three meetings against the Blues and the first of two at Scottrade Center. The final two meetings of the season take place on Mar. 10 at Honda Center and Mar. 16 at Scottrade Center.

Last season, the two teams split the season series (2-2-0) with the home team winning all four.

Anaheim owns a 31-32-9 all-time record vs. St. Louis… All-time, Teemu Selanne leads Ducks skaters in career scoring vs. St. Louis, earning 57 points (24g/33a) in 70 games.

St. Louis comes into tonight’s matchup with a 6-4-0 record (7th in the Western Conference). The Blues are riding a three-game losing streak and have been outscored 16-5 during that span.

The Blues are getting offense from their defense through the first 10 games of the season. Kevin Shattenkirk (1g/9a) and Alex Pietrangelo (3g/7a) both have 10 points and share the team’s scoring lead with high-flying rookie Vladimir Tarasenko (5g/5a).

Brian Elliott is 3-4-0 with a 3.30 goals-against average and .864 save percentage, while fellow netminder Jaroslav Halak is undefeated with a 3-0-0 record (two shutouts), 2.10 GAA and .889 SV%.
