ANAHEIM, Calif. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the club will open their 12th Training Camp on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Anaheim ICE. All of the club’s practices at Anaheim ICE this season will be open to the public free of charge.
The team will hold two simultaneous practice sessions each day, one on each sheet of ice (NHL and Olympic size). The club will also scrimmage each of the first four days of training camp at 10:45 a.m. each day. Most on-ice practices begin at 9:45 a.m.
The Mighty Ducks request that all player interviews take place after specific practice sessions are over. Head Coach Randy Carlyle will be made available in the media area following the conclusion of on-ice activities. Please contact the Mighty Ducks Communications Department for any sit-down interviews or special requests. It is recommended that you notify our staff of your plans to attend a specific practice so we can best accommodate your needs.
Media should enter Anaheim ICE through the main entrance, located off W. Harbor Place. Parking is available in adjacent lots. Anaheim ICE is located on the corner of Clementine and Lincoln Ave. in Anaheim (one mile east of the 5 freeway off the Lincoln Ave. exit). Phones are available for press use at each practice in the media area in Club 32º, located on the second level of the building.
The Mighty Ducks first preseason contest is set for Saturday, Sept. 17 @ Los Angeles. The club will host four preseason games, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 21 vs. San Jose.
