Larsen Out at Least Six Weeks

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Ducks forward Brad Larsen had surgery to repair a sports hernia Friday morning in Philadelphia and will be out of action a minimum of six weeks.

The operation was performed by Dr. William Meyers, who has performed the procedure in the past on Ducks Samuel Pahlsson, Todd Marchant and Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

Larsen was acquired by the Ducks on Sept. 26 from Atlanta along with defenseman Ken Klee and left wing prospect Chad Painchaud in exchange for defenseman Mathieu Schneider. Larsen had yet to appear in a preseason game with the Ducks since the trade.
