The Anaheim Ducks Wild Wingers Kids Club and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) teamed up once again this season for the third annual Kits for Kids Donation Drive. All Ducks fans were given the opportunity to donate a Wild Wingers Kids Club kit to patients at CHOC during the holiday season.
More than 1,000 Kids Club kits were purchased for patients at CHOC and were delivered to CHOC patients on December 8 by Ducks players. The Ducks will be collecting donations through the end of the month. You can donate a kit for just $20 by CLICKING HERE
The Wild Wingers Kids Club kit includes a long sleeve shirt, beanie, calendar, light-up slapshot shaker, Duck Tag, water bottle and a ticket to an Anaheim Ducks home game.
For their help in this great cause, each donor had the opportunity to earn a great prize. Amy Miyano of Los Angeles won a 20-person suite to the Sunday, January 11 game against the New Jersey Devils.
“I saw pictures of last year’s Kits for Kids event and thought it was so heart warming," Miyano said. "I love the fact that the players are so involved in the community.”
A chance to meet Ryan Getlaf and receive his game-used, signed stick will be given away to a Kits for Kids donor at the end of the month. All donors who donated two kits were given an Anaheim Ducks autographed player card.
The Anaheim Ducks would like to thank everyone who helped out with this great cause.
