Help Fire Victims at Tonight's Game

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks

Fans in attendance at tonight’s Ducks-Capitals game will again have the opportunity to donate money to support Southern California fire victims and local firefighters.

Donations will be taken at Honda Center on the concourse outside section 205 beginning at 5:30 p.m. today.

The Ducks and Kings took donations at last Sunday's game between the two teams, and the Kings will again take donations when they face the Capitals tomorrow night at STAPLES Center. In addition, the Samueli Foundation and Kings Care Foundation will each be donating $25,000 to fire victims.

Donations can also be made at Anaheim ICE, the Ducks' official practice facility, located on the corner of Lincoln Ave. and Anaheim Blvd.

“Our hearts go out to the families who have been affected by the Southern California fires,” said Samueli Foundation Chair Susan Samueli. “This weekend’s events have greatly impacted our community and we’re hopeful that local hockey fans can join the two teams in supporting this worthy cause.”

Of donations received by the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, 100 percent will go to nonprofit organizations that support local fire victims and firefighters.
