LANAHEIM, Calif. - The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that right winger Jonathan Hedstrom has left the team and returned to Sweden for personal reasons.

In 79 regular 2005-2006 season games with Anaheim, the 28-year old Hedstrom posted 13-14=27 points. He appeared in three 2006 Stanley Cup playoff games, earning 0-1=1 point.

A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Hedstrom was drafted by Toronto in the ninth round (221st overall) of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by Anaheim on June 25, 2000, from the Maple Leafs, in exchange for sixth and seventh round picks in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
