Hampus Lindholm

Restricted free agent defenseman Hampus Lindholm will not attend Anaheim Ducks training camp without a contract, his agent told the Orange County Register on Thursday.
"Our plan is to report to the team once we have a contract signed," agent Claude Lemieux told the newspaper. "Until then, Hampus is training in Sweden."

Lindholm, 22, had 10 goals and 18 assists in 80 games last season, his third with Anaheim. He is plus-61 in 236 NHL games.
"We have been negotiating for a while and have exchanged multiple proposals," Lemieux said. "I will say that we, both the team and ourselves, are working on getting this resolved ASAP."

Lindholm and Ducks forward Rickard Rakell were chosen to play for Team Sweden at the World Cup of Hockey 2016. Rakell, also an unsigned restricted free agent, is recovering from surgery that was needed to repair complications from an appendectomy.
"I don't see those (contract) situations going too far because I think they're two players that want to play," Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano said. "And they're two players that, I think, can find common ground with the team, and we hope they do."
Lindholm and Rakell are among several restricted free agents who remain unsigned. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov is not attending their camp, but Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen is skating at theirs.
