Gulls Eliminate Barracuda, Advance to Second Round of Calder Cup Playoffs

With a 5-2 victory tonight over the San Jose Barracuda in Game 4 of the Pacific Division Semifinals at SAP Center, the San Diego Gulls have advanced to the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, where they will face the winner of the Bakersfield-Colorado series (currently 2-1 in favor of Bakersfield).

The Gulls improved to 9-4 all-time in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs in franchise history, advancing to the second round in all three postseason appearances (also 2016 and 2017). San Diego remains the only Pacific Division team to reach the second round on three occasions, with prior series-clinching victories in 2017 at home vs. Ontario (Game 5) and 2016 vs. Texas (Game 4).

San Diego's Pacific Division Finals schedule will be released by the AHL at a future date with San Diego hosting a minimum of two games.
