Ducks forwards Ryan Getzlaf and Todd Marchant will not play in tonight's season finale against the Oilers at Honda Center because of injuries.
Getzlaf is still feeling the effects of an ankle injury that has kept him out of the last eight games. “It was up to him that if he could play and experience being pain-free while skating,” said Ducks coach Randy Carlyle. “It never got to that point.”
Marchant, who along with three other Ducks veterans was not taken on the road trip to Dallas and St. Louis earlier in the week, is dealing with an oblique strain suffered April 3 at Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, defenseman Brett Festerling is also unavailable after being shaken up on a hit by St. Louis' David Backes in the first period on Friday night.
