Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf had a follow-up CT scan yesterday, which showed showed his sinus fractures are healing well and remain stable.
Getzlaf has been cleared to skate with the team beginning Monday, Jan. 31 (3 p.m. at Honda Center). As a precaution, he will be held out of game action for the next two contests, Feb. 2 vs. San Jose and Feb. 5 at Colorado. He will likely return to the lineup on the Ducks' Western Canada swing -- Feb. 9 at Vancouver, Feb. 11 at Calgary and Feb. 13 at Edmonton.
Getzlaf was injured Dec. 28 at Phoenix, when he was struck by a shot off the stick of Coyotes forward Shane Doan.
The 25-year-old has played in all 40 games for the Ducks this season and was second on the team in scoring at the time of the injury with 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists).
