Former Junior Duck Keeney to Play Division I

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Former Junior Duck John Keeney has just signed a letter of intent to accept a full scholarship to the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

John spent three years in the Junior Ducks Tier program playing goalie for the Pee Wee AA, Bantam AA, and Bantam AAA teams. He was part of the 2006 Pacific District Semi Finalists along with the 2008 Pacific District Champions that concluded their season with a trip to the U14AAA Tier I National Championships.

John's pursuit of excellence landed him in the USHL playing for the Omaha Lancers at just 16 years old. After three successful seasons in the top US Junior league, he will showcase his scholastic abilities along with his on-ice skills playing Division I ice hockey.
