The Ducks (46-25-11) won their fourth consecutive division title and will face the Nashville Predators in the First Round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The berth marks Anaheim’s 12th trip to the Stanley Cup Playoffs all-time and ninth in the last 11 years.
The Ducks enter the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs with an all-time postseason record of 76-58 (14-10 in series play). Anaheim is 45-25 at Honda Center and 31-33 away from home in the playoffs.
Anaheim has faced Nashville in the postseason previously in the 2011 Western Conference Quarterfinal, where the Predators defeated Anaheim, 4-2. Corey Perry led all Ducks skaters with 2-6=8 points, while Ryan Getzlaf (2-4=6) and Cam Fowler (1-3=4) ranked fourth and tied for fifth among team leaders, respectively.
Fowler, Getzlaf and Perry are the three Ducks remaining from the 2011 series, while Mike Fisher (3-3=6), Shea Weber (3-2=5) and Pekka Rinne (6 GP, 4-2-0, 3.29 GAA) return for the Predators.
The Ducks are 36-21-7 all-time against the Predators in regular-season play (23-6-3 at Honda Center, 13-15-4 at Bridgestone Arena). Since 2012-13, Anaheim has posted a 9-3-0 record vs. Nashville (5-1-0 at home, 4-2-0 on the road).
