Etem Joins Syracuse for Remainder of Season

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Ducks prospect Emerson Etem has been assigned to Syracuse (AHL) following the completion of his season at Medicine Hat (WHL). Etem is eligible to play for the remainder of the season with the Crunch.

Etem scored 7-6=13 points in seven playoff games with Medicine Hat, including a five point game (2-3=5 points on Mar. 24) and a hat trick (Mar. 27) in the first round vs. Saskatoon.

In the regular season, Etem led the Canadian Hockey League (WHL, OHL, QMJHL) in goals (61), SHG (10) and co-led the CHL in GWG (11). He became the first WHL player to score 60 goals in a season since 2000-01, when Swift Current’s Layne Ulmer scored 63 goals in 68 games.
