Ducks 30th Anniversary Jersey

The Ducks today unveiled the club's 2023-24 Third Jersey for the team's 30th Anniversary season at the 2023 NHL Draft in Nashville.

Ducks second overall selection Leo Carlsson modeled the first reveal of the jersey to Ducks fans at the team's official NHL Draft Party at Brewery X Biergarten in Honda Center using Proto, a patented hologram machine and platform that makes holoportation a reality. Proto's holographic communications platform was utilized at the NHL Draft from Nashville to beam Leo Carlsson in real-time and in life-size volumetric 4K as if he was in the room for an interactive experience with fans to introduce the new jersey to those at Honda Center in Anaheim. The Ducks became the first professional sports team to utilize a live beam of an athlete into a draft event.

"As we enter our 30th Anniversary season it's exciting to reveal a new jersey our fans can be proud of," said Anaheim Ducks Vice President of Marketing Merit Tully. "This jersey is a symbol of our journey the last 30 years, our successful history and a nod to our origins. It was designed internally in a collaborative effort by organizational departments up to ownership, and we are excited for our players to wear it with honor this upcoming season."

The new alternate jersey will debut in-game during Anaheim's home opener Sunday, Oct. 15 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes at Honda Center (5:30 p.m.). The Ducks will wear the 30th Anniversary jersey on additional theme nights and select games throughout the 2023-24 NHL season, with games to be revealed at a later date.

Anchored in plum and jade as an ode to the original 1993-94 season road jersey, the Ducks' original color scheme makes a return. At the heart of the jersey, a mark familiar to most, now taking center stage is a crest featuring the original circular "Mighty Ducks" shoulder patch with Wild Wing, an ode to Mighty, reequipped for the present while surrounded by the words "Anaheim Ducks." Anaheim's original jersey number and letter styling is used in the new anniversary jersey, symbolic of the cohesive look to the team's 1993-94 sweaters, while the interior collar denotes "Mighty" in the original wordmark font. The sweater's sleeves feature gray bands with debossed text, including 'Mighty Ducks of Anaheim Est. 1993' on the right arm and 'Anaheim Ducks Est. 2006' on the left, with the script more than team names - the club's history worn with pride. The sweater will be accompanied by plum pants, socks, helmets and gloves.

Included on the 30th Anniversary jersey will be the addition of a patch from Western National Property Management, an official partner of the Ducks and the first-ever partner to have its logo featured on a Ducks game jersey, including the Ducks' black home and 30th Anniversary jerseys. The Western National Property Management logo will be worn for all pre-season, regular-season and postseason games in which the team wears its primary home and alternate jerseys. The patch will be emblazoned on the upper right chest of the Ducks jerseys.

The new jersey will serve as the eighth alternate "look" in club history and first to debut since 2018-19 (25th anniversary). The original Third Jersey began with a cartoon Duck breaking through a sheet of ice in 1995-96. The next iteration of a Third Jersey from 1997-2000 saw a white home jersey sporting the Mighty Ducks crest accompanied by jade, plum and silver stripes covering the sleeves and shoulders. The 1997-98 season also introduced a "fourth" sweater of the same striping style but with a green sweater base through the 1999-00 campaign. The club moved to a more classic approach with its next sweater, using black with dark plum, silver and white accenting as its color palate for the alternate jersey with an "Anaheim" script across the chest worn during the 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons. The fifth alternate jersey made its initial appearance on Oct. 16, 2015 and featured the original Mighty Ducks logo set on an orange jersey accented with gold, black and white trim. The jersey was reintroduced on Oct. 5, 2019 through 2022-23 following appearances from 2015-17.

The 30th Anniversary Jersey is available for pre-order online. Thirtieth Anniversary season merchandise will also be available beginning at the home opener on Sunday, October 15 at the Anaheim Ducks Team Store, online at 30th Anniversary Merchandise and at merchandise kiosks throughout Honda Center at all home games during the 2023-24 season.
