Ducks to Offer Try Hockey for Free Day on Saturday, Feb. 16 at THE RINKS – Westminster Ice

The Ducks will present Try Hockey For Free Day on Saturday, Feb. 16 at THE RINKS – Westminster ICE for boys and girls ages four to nine years old from 2:10 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.

Try Hockey For Free Day offers boys and girls the chance to learn to play the game of hockey during a supervised on-ice session. Participants will receive instruction on the basics of hockey as well as learn how to skate properly. Participants will be provided with skates, shoulder and elbow pads, shin guards, a helmet, hockey pants, gloves and a jersey for the one-hour session.

Try Hockey For Free Day is part of USA Hockey’s Come Play Hockey Month. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport, is a joint‐effort between USA Hockey, the NHL and its member clubs.

With THE RINKS Development Program presented by Honda launch in February 2009, the Ducks operate seven local skating facilities: Four ice rinks (THE RINKS – Anaheim ICE, THE RINKS - Lakewood ICE, THE RINKS – Westminster ICE and THE RINKS –Yorba Linda ICE), as well as three inline facilities (THE RINKS – Huntington Beach Inline THE RINKS – Irvine Inline and THE RINKS – Corona Inline).
