The Ducks will sponsor its second large-scale “makeover” project entitled the Anaheim Ducks “Power PLAY!” on Wednesday, Feb. 19. Anaheim Ducks & Honda Center staff, season seat holders and fans will gather at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim to help rejuvenate the club, including painting, furniture installation and the reorganization of the club’s multipurpose room. Anaheim Ducks Power Players and Wild Wing will also roll up their sleeves for this day-long beautification project.
As part of the Anaheim Ducks “Power PLAY!,” the club will also be upgraded with a new mural and enjoy a Fan Fair with host Kent French at 8 a.m. Over 70 volunteers will be on site at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim beginning at 7:30 a.m. for the 5.5-hour “makeover” project, which follows the inaugural Anaheim Ducks “Power PLAY!” at Mattie Lou Maxwell Elementary in Anaheim on Nov. 12, 2012.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim offers a broad range of programs and services for local children ages 5-18. The Club offers national programs in five core areas, including special interest programs and outreach to children in need. Most importantly, the Club offers kids a “safe haven” off the streets, where they can interact with peers and positive mentors. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim is located at 311 East Broadway, Anaheim, CA 92805.
