“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Inline Hockey Junior Olympics to Huntington Beach Inline in 2011,” said Huntington Beach Inline General Manager Ken Murchison. “Last year’s tournament proved to be a tremendous success and we expect even greater results this summer. Coupled with the Adult Nationals, we look forward to welcoming athletes and their families from around the world for these two great events.”
Over 3,000 athletes from eight different countries will travel to Southern California for the Junior Olympics and Adult Nationals this summer. Of the 350 expected teams, over 200 are California-based, more than any other single state or country. Participating countries in the 2011 Junior Olympics include China (Hong Kong), Australia, Great Britain and Taiwan. Canada, Mexico and Colombia have also committed teams to the tournament.
Huntington Beach Inline, part of the Anaheim Ducks’ THE RINKS development program, will serve as the headquarters for both the 2011 Junior Olympics and Adult Nationals. The Ducks operate four local skating facilities within THE RINKS program, including two ice rinks (THE RINKS – Anaheim ICE and THE RINKS – Westminster ICE) and two inline facilities (THE RINKS – Huntington Beach Inline and THE RINKS – Corona Inline).
Huntington Beach Inline is located at 5555 McFadden Ave., Huntington Beach, CA 92649. For more information about the 2011 Inline Hockey Junior Olympics and the 2011 Inline Hockey Adult Nationals, visit www.The-Rinks.com
