The Ducks will host the 6th Annual Give Blood Play Hockey Charity Tournament at THE RINKS – Irvine Inline presented by Honda from Nov. 2-4. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit CHOC Children’s (CHOC).
Mobile blood units will be onsite for individuals who wish to donate blood during the tournament, which had 84 teams battling in 18 different divisions last season at Irvine Inline. To date, the Give Blood Play Hockey tournament has collected 800 pints of blood and donated more than $175,000 to CHOC. Now in its second consecutive season hosted by THE RINKS, the tournament currently has a goal to reach $225,000 in total donations to CHOC Children’s, including $50,000 this year to fund a medication station at the hospital.

Tournament divisions range from youth to adult and are split between various skill levels from beginner through advanced. The event is open to the general public, which is encouraged to take an active role in donating blood during the three-day tournament. The Anaheim Ducks Street Team, Wild Wing and the Anaheim Ducks Power Players will also be on hand throughout the weekend to participate in the tournament festivities.
