The Ducks will host the 2nd annual Anaheim Ducks All-Star Academy on Dec. 4 and Dec. 6 at THE RINKS – Anaheim ICE presented by Honda.
The Anaheim Ducks All-Star Academy will instruct Pee Wee and Bantam players ages 11-14 on the basic fundamentals of the game, proper checking technique and shot velocity. Presented in partnership with USA Hockey, the 2012 All-Star Academy will feature guest appearances from Ducks alumni member Jason Marshall and Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League coaches, including Dave Peters of Bishop Amat/Upland and Mike Perkins of JSerra varsity. In addition, Ducks Strength & Conditioning Coach Sean Skahan will instruct players on off-ice strength training on both dates.
The All-Star Academy will hold multiple training sessions at Anaheim ICE, including an on-ice session from 6:40 p.m. to 8 p.m. and an off-ice session from 8:10 p.m. to 9:10 p.m. All participants will receive an All-Star Academy moisture-control shirt, a 20% off coupon to Hockey Giant and a ticket voucher for a future Anaheim Ducks game. Registration for the All-Star Academy is $30 and space is limited.
