Ducks to Host 2012 Orange and White Casino Night on Jan. 19 at Honda Center
/ Anaheim Ducks
The Anaheim Ducks will host the 2012 Orange and White Casino Night presented by The Klein Family next Thursday, Jan. 19 on Honda Center’s arena floor. The event, entitled “Center Ice White Out” will benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Orangewood Children’s Foundation, as well as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Orange County. The Center Ice White Out will give supporters the opportunity to mingle with the entire Ducks roster and coaching staff, who will serve as guest dealers at the blackjack, craps and roulette tables on the arena floor.
“We are very pleased to be able to partner with Orangewood Children’s Foundation for the sixth consecutive year,” said Ducks Director of Community Relations Wendy Yamagishi. “We’re very excited to have CASA of Orange County join as an additional beneficiary this year. Both Orangewood and CASA look to improve the lives of our local youth and the Anaheim Ducks Foundation is proud to support both of these outstanding nonprofits.”
Guests are encouraged to dress in the “white haute couture” theme of the evening. The Orange and White Casino Night will feature music by Los Angeles-based DJ Serafin. In addition, specialty cocktails and a delectable fare of small bites and desserts will be served throughout the evening. Guests will also be given the opportunity to place bids on a variety of silent auction items and enter in opportunity drawings throughout the evening. Silent auction and opportunity drawing items include exciting vacation destinations, Ducks and Honda Center tickets and autographed merchandise. “Ducks Bucks” will serve as the currency of the evening, as guests can exchange dollars for Ducks Bucks at a 1:2 ratio (i.e. $20 = 40 Ducks Bucks). Throughout the evening, Ducks Bucks can be exchanged for chips at gambling tables and opportunity drawing tickets.

ABOUT ORANGEWOOD CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION The mission of Orangewood Children’s Foundation is to provide innovative services for abused and neglected children and at-risk families to end the cycle of child abuse one life at a time. Our programs focus on the areas of education, supportive services, life-stage transition and child abuse prevention. A significant key to our success is the hard-work and support of our 44 Women for Children auxiliary. Founded in 1999 by Susan Samueli, 44 Women for Children focuses on nurturing, supporting and inspiring adolescents emancipating from the foster care system on their 18th birthdays. The auxiliary hosts annual fundraising events to support Orangewood’s college scholarship and Peer Mentor programs. Since 1999, 44 Women for Children has raised over $2.0 million for the Foundation. ABOUT CASA OF ORANGE COUNTY Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County is a non-profit organization that trains community volunteers to serve as powerful mentors and advocates for our community’s most severely abused, abandoned and neglected children. The proceeds from this year’s Casino Night will directly benefit CASA’s Mentor-Advocate Program, which aims to give foster youth the support and resources needed to break the cycle of abuse.
