Ducks to Honor Local 2014 Olympians at Sochi Celebration on Sunday at Honda Center

The Ducks will honor local athletes from the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia on Sunday, Mar. 2 when the club hosts Carolina at Honda Center (5 p.m.). Fans attending the Sochi Celebration will have the opportunity to view and take photos of gold, silver and bronze medals from the 2014 Games, along with Olympic hockey jerseys from Canada, Sweden, Finland, the U.S. and Switzerland. Along with the Ducks 2014 Olympians, U.S. bobsledders Elana Meyers (Oceanside, CA - silver medal) and Cory Butner (Yucaipa, CA) are expected to attend and be recognized. Meyers and Butner will also pose for pictures and sign autographs in the first intermission.


All fans in attendance will receive a free commemorative print featuring Ducks Olympians presented by Citizens Business Bank. Limited-edition autographed mini-sticks, featuring Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Teemu Selanne, Jonas Hiller, Cam Fowler, Jakob Silfverberg and Sami Vatanen will be on sale at the Hockey Spot (south side of the building in front of The Grand Terrace) beginning at 3 p.m., benefitting the Loma Linda University Cancer Center. Fans can save on tickets with the Farmer John Family Pack, which includes a ticket, hot dog and drink, starting at only $30.
