The Ducks will begin its selection process for the 2013-14 Ducks Power Players this Saturday, July 20, beginning at 9 a.m. The tryouts, consisting of on-ice evaluations and panel interviews will take place at THE RINKS - Anaheim ICE presented by Honda. The Anaheim Ducks Power Players support the event presentation efforts at every Ducks home game, as well as make appearances at various community events. The Ducks are in search of charismatic and outgoing individuals who possess excellent communication skills and are knowledgeable about the sport of hockey.
Registration will take place at 9 a.m., upon which Power Player hopefuls will begin the on-ice portion of the evaluation. A panel of Ducks staff members will assess each participant’s skating ability and on-ice personality. Following the on-ice evaluation, select candidates will be asked to engage in a panel interview with Ducks judges. Candidates selected to continue the interview process after Saturday’s tryouts will be contacted at a later date.
Power Player responsibilities include greeting fans, on-ice maintenance throughout Ducks home games, and assisting with on-ice and in-stand promotions. The Power Players also serve as representatives of the Ducks organization at community events, viewing parties and other social engagements.
All candidates should visit AnaheimDucks.com/powerplayers in advance of Saturday’s tryouts to complete an online application. Candidates must be at least 19 years of age to participate in the 2013-14 Power Player tryouts. Although skating experience is encouraged, it is not required.
