These activations will include Republic Services, Honda Center's waste collection company, who will have their brand new truck and recycling boxes for fans to recycle aluminum cans and plastic bottles before heading through the doors at Honda Center. In addition, the Anaheim Ducks Team Store will also support NHL Green Week with the debut of one-of-a-kind tote bags made from Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center Banners. As part of the St. Patrick's Day celebration, the Ducks will have special St. Patrick's themed Ducks T-shirts available for sale in the Anaheim Ducks Team Store powered by Reebok. These
t-shirts were specially designed by students from the Samueli Academy
who took part in the annual Samueli Academy T-shirt Design Contest. The t-shirts available for sale, are the winning designs of the contest and all net proceed from the sales of the two shirts will benefit the Samueli Academy.
The Anaheim Ducks introduced the Samueli Academy T-Shirt Design Contest during the 2014-15 season and it was held again this season, tasking design students from the Samueli Academy with a project to create a unique Anaheim Ducks branded St. Patrick's Day t-shirt design. The Samueli Academy is a project-based learning curriculum, therefore the project was created for the students to hone their design skills, work in a group environment as well as make a formal presentation to pitch their designs. Anaheim Ducks staff volunteered for this project and helped guide students and supply insight on the Anaheim Ducks brand. Once the projects were completed, they were presented to their class as well as Anaheim Ducks staff and two winning submissions were chosen by the Anaheim Ducks based on looks that best interpreted the festive holiday assignment.
