The Ducks have signed right wing Alexander Volkov to a one-year contract extension through the 2021-22 NHL season.

Volkov, 23 (8/2/97), combined for 7-6=13 points and six PIM in 37 games with Anaheim and Tampa Bay in 2020-21, setting career-highs in goals, assists, points and appearances. The 6-1, 195-pound forward scored 4-4=8 points with two penalty minutes (PIM) in 18 games with Anaheim following his acquisition from Tampa Bay on Mar. 24, 2021. He had 3-2=5 points and a +2 rating in 19 games with Tampa Bay, including his first career NHL goal Feb. 13 at Florida.
The Moscow, Russia native has recorded 7-7=14 points and 12 PIM in 46 career NHL games with the Ducks and Lightning, helping Tampa Bay to a Stanley Cup championship in 2020. Selected by Tampa Bay in the second round (48th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft, Volkov has also recorded 55-68=123 points with a +46 rating and 150 PIM in 195 career American Hockey League (AHL) games with Syracuse.
