The Ducks announced on Tuesday that they have signed left wing Eric Tangradi to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.Tangradi, 19 (2/10/89), has appeared in 32 contests with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) this season, collecting 20-26=46 points with 41 penalty minutes (PIM). Playing in his third season with the club and his first as team captain, the 6-3, 220-pound winger currently leads the Bulls and ranks fourth in the OHL in scoring. He is currently riding a 10-game point streak (9-10=19) dating back to Nov. 15 at Ottawa, which also includes a five-point effort (2-3=5) on Nov. 19 vs. Niagara. Tangradi was named the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 23, collecting 4-5=9 points with a +6 rating in three games. He has registered at least one point in 24-of-32 games this season, helping the Bulls maintain first place in the OHL’s Eastern Conference. On Dec. 3, Tangradi was named to the U.S. National Junior Team competing at the 2009 World Junior Championship beginning on Dec. 26 in Ottawa, Ontario. Selected by Anaheim in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, the Philadelphia, PA native has collected 49-77=126 points in 153 career OHL games. In 2007-08, Tangradi advanced to the OHL Championship Series with the Bulls, collecting 7-11=18 points in 20 contests, while also making an appearance at the 2008 Memorial Cup. He was also one of 53 players invited to participate in the 2008 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp. In 2006-07, he earned 8-9=17 points in 15 postseason contests with the Bulls, helping lead the squad to the East Division title in the OHL’s Eastern Conference.
