The Ducks have signed center Julius Nattinen
to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nattinen, 18 (1/14/97), has appeared in 10 career Finnish Elite League games with JYP Jyvaskyla, collecting three assists (0-3=3) with two penalty minutes (PIM). The Jyvaskyla, Finland native helped lead his country to a silver medal at the 2015 IIHF Under-18 World Championship in Switzerland, scoring his team’s lone goal in the final game against the U.S. Nattinen has represented Finland in four international tournaments, combining for 9-18=27 points with eight PIM in 15 games.
Selected by Anaheim in the second round (59th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Nattinen appeared in nine games for JYP last season, scoring 0-3=3 points. The 6-2, 191-pound center played most of the season with JYP-Akatemia in Finland’s second division, recording 11-18=29 points with eight PIM in 39 games.
