Ducks Sign Jackman to One-Year Contract Extension

The Ducks have signed right wing Tim Jackman to a one-year contract extension through the 2014-15 season. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jackman, 32 (11/14/81), has appeared in 20 games since being acquired by the Ducks, posting 1-1=2 points with 48 penalty minutes (PIM). Acquired from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft on Nov. 21, 2013, Jackman ranks fourth on the team in PIM (48). In 420 career NHL games with Columbus, Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York Islanders, Calgary and Anaheim, Jackman has recorded 25-41=66 points with 702 PIM.

Selected by Columbus in the second round (38th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Jackman scored 1-4=5 points with 76 PIM in 42 games with Calgary last season. He led the Flames in hits (98) and PIM (76).
