The Ducks have signed center Derek Grant to a three-year contract through the 2022-23 NHL season.
Grant, 30 (4/20/90), has earned 31-39=70 points and 85 penalty minutes (PIM) in 264 career NHL games with Anaheim, Ottawa, Calgary, Buffalo, Nashville, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. The 6-3, 206-pound center combined for 15-10=25 points in 56 games with Anaheim and Philadelphia in 2019-20, setting career highs in points and goals.

Grant scored 14-6=20 points in 49 games with Anaheim prior to being acquired by Philadelphia in exchange for Kyle Criscuolo and a fourth-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft (Thimo Nickl, 104th overall). At the time of the acquisition, Grant was tied for fourth among NHL leaders in shorthanded goals (3) and tied for sixth in shorthanded points (3-1=4). He also ranked third among Anaheim leaders in goals (14) at the time of the trade.
Selected by Ottawa in the fourth round (119th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft, Grant returns to Anaheim after having earned 28-25=53 points in 146 career games in two previous stints with the Ducks, (2017-18 and 2018-20).
