Ducks Select Nickl with 104th Overall Pick in 2020 NHL Draft

With the 104th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, the Ducks select Thimo Nickl from Drummondville of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The 6-foot-2, 176-pound defenseman ranked second among Voltigeurs blueliners in scoring last season with 39 points (10g/29a) in 58 games as a rookie.

Born in Klagenfurt, Austria, Nickl, 18 (12/4/01), becomes the first Austrian-born player selected by the Ducks in franchise history. He's also the 14th Austrian selected all-time in the NHL Draft.
