by Kyle Shohara @kyleshohara /

The Ducks play the penultimate game of their preseason schedule tonight against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center (7:30 p.m. PT, TV: None, Radio: AM 830).

This marks the sixth of seven games on Anaheim's preseason slate, all against Pacific Division opponents. The Ducks enter tonight's contest still searching for their first win, having gone 0-4-1 through five games. Nick Sorensen scored the lone goal for Anaheim last night and John Gibson made 35 saves in a 2-1 loss against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place.

Sorensen (2g) and Michael Sgarbossa (1g/1a) lead the Ducks in scoring, while Nick Ritchie paces the club with 12 shots on goal.

The Sharks, meanwhile, have played the fewest games of any team up to this point (3). San Jose is undefeated, with all three victories ending in overtime and all by identical 3-2 scores.

Leading the Sharks in scoring is rookie right wing Kevin Labanc, who has four points (2g/2a) in three games. Both of Labanc's goals have come in overtime. Long Beach, Calif. native Matt Nieto has three points (2g/1a) through two games, while Martin Jones, Aaron Dell and rookie Mantas Armalis have recorded victories in net for the Sharks.

Following tonight's game, the Ducks will return home to close out their preseason schedule against the Sharks on Sunday at Honda Center. Anaheim's 2016-17 regular season opens on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Dallas as part of a five-game road trip that continues at Pittsburgh (Oct. 15), at NY Islanders (Oct. 16), at New Jersey (Oct. 18) and at Philadelphia (Oct. 20).
