Ducks Recall Wagner, Reassign Karlsson to Norfolk (AHL)

The Ducks have recalled forward Chris Wagner from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Ducks have reassigned center William Karlsson to Norfolk.

Wagner, 23 (5/27/91), made his NHL debut on Oct. 17 vs. Minnesota, going scoreless in 4:10 time-on-ice (TOI) with two penalty minutes (PIM). Selected in the fifth round (122nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Wagner collected 13-13=26 points with 54 penalty minutes (PIM) in 41 games for Norfolk this season. At the time of his recall, the 6-0, 202-pound Wagner co-led the Admirals in scoring and goals, and led in shorthanded goals (2).

Karlsson, 22 (1/8/93), appeared in one game during his most recent recall, going scoreless on Feb. 25 vs. Ottawa. The 6-0, 185-pound center has played 18 games with the Ducks this season, scoring 2-1=3 points with a +1 rating and two penalty minutes (PIM). Selected by Anaheim in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Karlsson has earned 7-14=21 points with two PIM in 35 games for the Admirals this season.
