Ducks Recall Theodore, Noesen from San Diego

The Ducks have recalled defenseman Shea Theodore and right wing Stefan Noesen from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Ducks have reassigned defenseman Brandon Montour to San Diego.

Theodore, 21 (8/3/95), has earned 1-5=6 points with 16 penalty minutes (PIM) in 21 games with Anaheim this season. Selected by Anaheim in the first round (26th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, the 6-1, 194-pound defenseman has collected 4-10=14 points with 18 PIM in 40 career NHL games. In 11 games with the Gulls this season, Theodore recorded 1-8=9 points with a +5 rating and eight PIM.

Noesen, 23 (2/12/93) has collected one goal (1-0=1) with a +1 rating and two PIM in seven games with the Ducks this season. Selected by Ottawa in the first round (21st overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Noesen made his season debut and scored his first NHL goal on Dec. 7 vs. Carolina. The 6-1, 208-pound forward also appeared in 22 games with San Diego this season, earning 6-9=15 points with a +2 rating and 40 PIM.  

Montour, 22 (4/11/94), went scoreless with a +1 rating and two PIM in five games with the Ducks following his recall from San Diego on Dec. 28. Montour made his NHL debut on Dec. 29 at Calgary, recording one shot on goal in 17:54 time on ice (TOI). Selected by Anaheim in the second round (55th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Montour has collected 7-14=21 points with 24 PIM in 25 appearances with San Diego this season. Montour returns to the AHL leading the league in shots (113) while ranking among league defensemen in scoring (tied for 10th) and goals (tied for eighth).
