The Ducks have recalled defenseman Shea Theodore from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Theodore, 21 (8/3/95), has earned 1-7=8 points with 26 penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 games with the Ducks this season. The 6-1, 194-pound defenseman, who collected his second career multi-point game (0-2=2) in a 3-2 victory on Dec. 9 vs. San Jose, has 4-12=16 points with 28 PIM in 49 career NHL games with the Ducks.
Selected by Anaheim in the first round (26th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Theodore recorded 5-15=20 points with a +11 rating and 12 PIM in 26 AHL games with San Diego this season. He made his professional debut with Norfolk in 2013-14 and since appeared in 89 career AHL games, collecting 18-50=68 points with 48 PIM.
