The Ducks have recalled defenseman Steven Oleksy from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Oleksy, 31 (2/4/86), has collected 3-17=20 points with a +17 rating and 110 penalty minutes (PIM) in 73 career NHL contests with Washington (2012-15) and Pittsburgh (2016-17). He has also appeared in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Capitals, earning one assist with four PIM. Oleksy played 11 regular-season contests with the Penguins last season, earning one assist with a +2 rating and 24 PIM.
Signed as a free agent on July 1, 2017, Oleksy earned 2-2=4 points with a +2 rating and four PIM in five games with San Diego this season. Oleksy recorded points in three of his five games, while leading Gulls defensemen in goals and ranking tied for second in scoring. The 6-0, 188-pound defenseman owns 15-76=91 points with a +49 rating and 656 PIM in 324 career AHL contests with San Diego (2017-18), Toronto (2016-17), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2015-17), Hershey (2012-15), Bridgeport (2011-12) and Lake Erie (2010-11).
