Ducks Recall Montour From San Diego

The Ducks have recalled defenseman Brandon Montour from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Montour, 22 (4/11/94), has earned 1-1=2 points with a +1 rating and six penalty minutes (PIM) in 12 games with Anaheim this season. The 6-0, 198-pound defenseman made his NHL debut on Dec. 29 at Calgary and scored his first career NHL goal on Feb. 4 at Tampa Bay. In 36 games with San Diego, Montour collected 13-20=33 points with a +17 rating and 34 PIM. Montour was recalled from the Gulls leading the team in shots (148) and ranking third in goals.

Selected by Anaheim in the second round (55th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Montour has earned 26-74=100 points and a +27 rating in 118 career AHL games with San Diego (2015-17) and Norfolk (2014-15). Montour has also recorded five assists (0-5=5) and a +3 rating in nine Calder Cup Playoff appearances with the Gulls.
