Ducks Recall Left Wing Trevor Gillies

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Ducks have recalled left wing Trevor Gillies from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League (AHL).

A native of Cambridge, Ontario, Gillies has played in eight games with Portland this season, scoring 1-1=2 points with 35 penalty minutes and a +4 rating. The 6-3, 210 pound forward has played in 156 career AHL games, scoring 3-5=8 points with 780 penalty minutes.

Gillies was acquired with a conditional draft pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft from the New York Rangers in exchange for Steve Rucchin on Aug. 23, 2005. Gillies has never appeared in an NHL game.
