ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Kent Huskins from the Portland Pirates, Anaheim's primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Huskins, 27 (5/4/79), has collected 2-9=11 points with 10 penalty minutes (PIM) and a +5 rating in 27 games with Portland this season. In 2005-06, the 6-3, 215-pound defenseman was the only Pirate to play in all of the team's 80 games. Huskins set professional career single-season highs in goals, assists and points with 8-23=31 points.
Huskins signed as a free agent on August 22, 2005. He was originally drafted by Chicago in sixth round (156th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
