The Ducks have recalled left wing Jean-Francois Jacques from the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Jacques, 26 (4/29/85), made his Anaheim debut on Nov. 17 at Los Angeles, going scoreless with two penalty minutes (PIM). Jacques has also appeared in 16 contests with Syracuse this season, collecting 6-6=12 points with an even plus/minus rating and 26 PIM. The 6-4, 220-pound winger currently ranks tied for sixth on the Crunch in scoring, earning 2-2=4 points in his last four AHL contests.
Selected by Edmonton in the second round (68th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Jacques has scored 9-8=17 points with 187 PIM in 161 career NHL games with the Oilers and Ducks. He made his professional debut with the Edmonton Roadrunners (AHL) in 2004-05 and has since appeared in 165 career AHL games, earning 52-60=112 points with 306 PIM.
