The Ducks recalled goaltender Anton Khudobin
from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Khudobin, 29 (5/7/86), has gone 3-3-0 with one shutout, a 2.70 goals-against average (GAA) and .908 save percentage (SV%) in eight games with Anaheim this season. He earned his first win as a Duck on Oct. 18 vs. Minnesota and recorded his fifth career shutout in a 1-0 victory on Nov. 7 at San Jose. Acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman James Wisniewski on June 27, 2015, Khudobin has gone 44-39-8 with five shutouts, a 2.42 GAA and .918 SV% in 99 career NHL games with Anaheim (2015-16), Carolina (2013-15), Boston (2011-13) and Minnesota (2009-11).
A native of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, Khudobin posted a 7-6-1 record with a 2.69 GAA and .907 SV% in 14 games with the Gulls. In his final four starts with San Diego, he earned three wins (3-1-0) along with a 2.51 GAA and .916 SV%. The 5-11, 203-pound goaltender was selected by Minnesota in the seventh round (206th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
