The Ducks have recalled goaltender Frederik Andersen
from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Andersen, 24 (10/2/89), has posted a 10-2-0 record with a 2.07 GAA and .923 SV% in 12 games (11 starts) with Anaheim this season. Among rookie NHL goaltenders, Andersen ranks second in wins, third in GAA and fourth in SV% (min. 10 appearances).
Selected by Anaheim in the third round (87th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Andersen went 3-1-0 with a 1.96 GAA and .939 SV% in three games with Norfolk this season. The Herning, Denmark native has appeared in 51 career AHL games with the Admirals, going 27-19-1 with five shutouts, a 2.17 GAA and .930 SV%.
