by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks have reassigned forward Chris Wagner to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Ducks have recalled LW Dany Heatley from his Long-Term Injury Conditioning Loan and G Ilya Bryzgalov from his conditioning assignment from Norfolk (AHL).

Wagner, 23 (5/27/91), appeared in two games with the Ducks this season, going scoreless with an even plus/minus rating and two penalty minutes (PIM). Wagner made his NHL debut on Oct. 17 vs. Minnesota and followed up with his second career appearance on Nov. 15 at Los Angeles.

Selected in the fifth round (122nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Wagner has scored 8-5=13 points with 28 PIM in 14 games with Norfolk. He returns to the Admirals leading the club in points-per-game (.93), shorthanded goals (2), co-leading in goals and ranking second in scoring. In 160 career AHL games with Norfolk, Wagner has collected 30-32=62 points with four shorthanded goals and 161 PIM.
