by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks have reassigned left wing Nick Ritchie to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ritchie, 20 (12/5/95), collected 2-2=4 points with 37 penalty minutes (PIM) in 33 games for the Ducks during the regular season. The 6-2, 232-pound winger concluded the season on a two-game scoring streak (1-1=2) from Apr. 9-10, including a goal in Anaheim’s division-clinching 2-0 win on Apr. 10 at Washington. Ritchie has yet to make his debut in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (10th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Ritchie has recorded 16-14=30 points and 59 PIM in 38 games with the Gulls this season. Ritchie returns to San Diego ranked tied for third among team leaders in goals and tied for first in power-play goals (8).
